The Star Tribune’s Neal St. Anthony reports that Murphy Warehouse Company is installing an array of solar electric panels on the roof of a warehouse complex in Fridley.
Murphy is buying the equipment from TenKsolar, a two-year old Bloomington-based company with a breakthrough “cell-optimizing” system that generates more energy from available light.
The $1 million installation is believed to be the first big solar energy installation on a flat-roofed Twin Cities commercial building.
