Steve Alexander of the Star Tribune asked retailers for their 2010 seasonal employment projections.
On the whole, the numbers are encouraging.
Although Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. says it will hire the same number of holiday employees as last year, Richfield-based retailer Best Buy plans to hire 4,000 more employees than in 2009.
Macy’s and Toys R Us also plan to hire more holiday workers for the upcoming season.
