Grassroots Solutions — a consulting firm specializing in grassroots organizing, strategy, training and evaluation — is now accepting internship applications for spring 2011. If you are interested in learning more about grassroots organizing and advocacy, this is a perfect chance to gain new skills and get your feet wet.

Since 1999, Grassroots Solution has helped nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, labor unions, companies, government agencies, foundations and political campaigns achieve their grassroots objectives. Services include: grassroots strategy and planning, advocacy and electoral targeting, grassroots campaign management, field organizing and direct voter contact, customized trainings and curriculum design, and qualitative and quantitative evaluations.

An internship with Grassroots Solution is ideal for a motivated individual interested in learning more about grassroots organizing, advocacy, program evaluation and related activities.

The position runs from early February through May 27, 2011 and pays a total stipend of $595 per session/semester. A commitment of 15 hours per week is required. Schedule is somewhat flexible, but typically hours are put in between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a minimum shift of three hours per day.

Job requirements: At least some college education, a working knowledge of MS Office and good written communication skills. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable calling and approaching new people.
