The vast majority of us are not policy wonks, nor do we pretend to be. However, that doesn’t preclude us from caring about the issues our state faces and contributing our opinions and ideas.
2011 is shaping up to be an exciting, pivotal legislative year.
For the first time in several years, the Citizens League is actively advancing policy work — and doing so on a number of fronts. Concurrently, how will the vast number of new leaders at the capitol contribute to charting the course for Minnesota’s future?
Join the Citizens League Emerging Leaders for a bipartisan dialogue with Sen. Geoff Michel (R-41) and Rep. Melissa Hortman (D-47B). We’ll discuss the policies that elected officials will be focusing on this legislative session and propose issues that Minnesotans and our politicians should be working on to sustain and improve Minnesota in years to come.
Discussion topics will likely include education, health care, the state budget and energy.
