Meeting Professionals International is the world’s largest association for the $102.3 billion meeting and event industry. Its mission is to position meetings and events as a key strategic component of organizations’ success.

MPI’s Minnesota chapter started the Emerging Leaders program in January 2010. The group aims to advance the career development of the meeting industry’s future leaders by promoting collaboration between young talent and seasoned professionals.

According to program co-chair Melissa Deming, Emerging Leaders is the first young professionals group launched by an MPI chapter.
