Join Urbanites — the Ordway’s young professionals group — for a performance of Terrance Simien & The Zydeco Experience. Grammy Award-winning musician Terrance Simien, an 8th generation Louisiana Creole, takes you on a musical tour of the world. Incorporating his hypnotic blend of zydeco, New Orleans funk, and reggae-flavored Afro-Caribbean sound, he aims to propel you out of your seat and onto the dance floor.

Prior to the show, attend a special session with Terrance Simien & The Zydeco Experience, featuring musicians from the local band New Primitives, including Stanley Kipper, Chico Perez, Matt Stevens and Joel Schaan. They will provide background on musical forms related to zydeco, explaining the roots and origins of the music. They will also share stories about how various musical styles, artists, and regions have influenced their unique sound.

After the show, head across Rice Park with Urbanites for free apps and happy hour specials compliments of Pazzaluna.
