MinnPost’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) is excited to be launching “YPN5Q,” a weekly Q&A series with talented Minnesota professionals ages 21 to early 40s. “YPN5Q” will spotlight the state’s top young business and civic leaders and creative minds. This week features Christine (Kippy) Freund, broker sales manager for Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day.
Name: Christine (Kippy) Freund
Current job title: Broker Sales Manager, Central Region
Current employer: Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day
1. What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?
Because I am traveling a lot and office out of my home, my workday often falls outside of the standard 9 to 5. A big challenge for me has been learning to turn work off at the end of the day.
2. How do you maintain balance in your life?
I spend a lot of time with friends and family. And I drink wine.
3. What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I never really mastered the “home row” keys, so I still have to look at the keyboard while typing. I pay for this with an acute case of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and a constant neck ache.
4. Who is one living person you would love to meet, and why?
The 14th Dalai Lama, because I’d like to think I could achieve a higher level of serenity and acceptance simply by osmosis.
5. What’s one item (you can share more than one) on your bucket list?
Before I am too old, I’d like to spend at least a year living in Italy. I’d also like to stomp wine grapes in a barrel with my bare feet.
MinnPost is asking for your nominations of young professionals to profile. If you know of a distinguished or inspiring young professional that we should interview for “YPN5Q,” email firstname.lastname@example.org.
