NTWRK: Networking bingo 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19

New to the nonprofit scene in the Twin Cities?

Young Nonprofit Professionals Network - Twin Cities

New to the nonprofit scene in the Twin Cities? Looking for real, personal connections and not just another pile of business cards?

YNPN-TC is making networking easy (and fun) with our upcoming NTWRK event, a bingo-style free-for-all that will get you connected faster than you can say B-23.

We know it’s hard to jump into a crowd and start meeting people (Do I sound stupid? Why am I sweating so much? This is so awkward!), so we’re skipping all that and getting right to the good stuff.

NTWRK: Networking for people who like bingo

Participants will get a “NTWRK” (in others words, “BINGO”) card to hunt down specific types of professionals — from design gurus to fundraisers to nonprofit employees seeking interns.

The goal is to meet and connect in ways that transcend the stilted conversation and clammy handshake.

(And if you don’t connect for some reason, we’re pretty sure you’ll enjoy the $3.50 Surly and Summit pints.)

And since bingo’s such a cutthroat game, you know we’ve got prizes to give away. We’ll reward both the fastest NTWRK-er and the first two NTWRK-ers who schedule a follow-up meeting with each other.

This event will be an especially great opportunity for recent graduates, new transplants, AmeriCorps members and anyone who likes to hang out at the bingo hall and meet people. We know you’ll feel right at home.

See you there!
