Volunteers still needed for Habitat landscaping day in St. Paul on Sept. 24

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Young Professionals Network

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Young Professionals Network (HYPN) has a landscaping day scheduled with A Brush with Kindness next Saturday, Sept. 24, and volunteers slots are still open!

HYPN supports the work of Habitat through volunteerism, deeper engagement, and meaningful and enticing networking opportunities for members in their early 20s to early 40s.

Join us next weekend for our day-long volunteer event in St. Paul — break a sweat, meet new people and help out the community all at once. Bring friends!

A brief list of safety considerations:
– A sturdy work boot or shoe is recommended. Absolutely no sandals!
– We work in the sun, rain, and even snow, so dress appropriately.
– You are the final judge of the safety of a situation. If you are asked to complete a task with which you are uncomfortable (e.g. climbing a ladder, carrying a heavy load, using a tool that you are unfamiliar with), let your site supervisor know.

Additional information will be provided in volunteer confirmation emails.

Time: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Date: Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011
Place: 437 York Ave., St. Paul, MN 55130
