AIGA Emerging Designers open house 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8

AIGA Minnesota Emerging Designers
Are you a young graphic artist or enthusiastic creative looking for ways to gain more expertise in your field while giving back to the local design community?

Volunteering with AIGA Minnesota Emerging Designers is just the opportunity you’re looking for.

Both a social network and designer’s resource, AIGA Emerging Designers brings new designers (typically in their first four years out of school) together through a quarterly series of lectures, discussions and social networking hours. Ongoing programs include the quarterly “So…” event series and the MNtor Program.

If you’re a professional young designer with a career already under way, you have exactly the experience and expertise AIGA is looking for to help guide the Emerging Designers committee, which focuses on conceiving and effecting beneficial programs and events where young designers can share and shape the information that is most pertinent to them.

Next Tuesday, Nov. 8, AIGA Emerging Designers will be holding an informal volunteer open house at Common Roots Cafe in Minneapolis.

If you’re interested in getting involved in the Emerging Designers committee, stop by to find out more about this great volunteering opportunity.

If you plan on attending, RSVP to Lisa Valley.

Time: 7-9 p.m.
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011
