AIGA MNtor Program kick-off 6 p.m. Monday, Apr. 2

Mentors and mentees — registration is now open for the spring session of AIGA’s MNtor Program.

AIGA MNtor Program

The spring session of AIGA Minnesota’s MNtor Program has commenced and registration is now open to both mentors and mentees!

An initiative of AIGA Emerging Designers — a social network and resource for new design talent —  the MNtor Program pairs emerging graphic designers with industry veterans excited to share their experience and knowledge.

Over the course of four months, mentors work with mentees to expand their industry expertise and fertilize their career growth and professional success.

Professionals interested in fostering the next generation of designers should email mntorprogram [at] aigaminnesota [dot] org. (Mentors must have five or more years of professional experience.)

At the program kick-off event on April 2, mentors will meet their mentees, develop a schedule of meeting times, and set expectations and goals for the next four months.

When, where and how often you meet and how you mentor is completely up to you. Go out to lunch, have coffee, catch a lecture, visit design studios, attend a client meeting — the possibilities are endless. Forge your own experience and build a lasting, rewarding relationship.

Of course, AIGA Emerging Designers will be there along the way to set ground rules, give advice and offer activity  suggestions. Think of us as your support team.
