Designed as a “one-stop shop” for homeless citizens, Project Homeless Connect events are held in numerous cities around the country. The Ramsey County event is unique — it is the only Homeless Connect organized by the police department.

On June 10, MinnPost visited the most recent Project Homeless Connect and spoke to Officers Dean Koehnen and Paul Paulos, who first brought the project to Ramsey County. We also spoke to the barbers and beauticians behind one of the most popular parts of the event: Free haircuts.
