MinnPost’s 7th anniversary will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 6, with a festive party and silent auction at Solera Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis.
Enjoy yummy food, delicious birthday cake, a cash bar, a silent auction with mobile bidding, a live jazz band and a holiday gift bazaar. The silent auction is open for online bidding and will continue through 7:30 on the night of the event. We’re offering lots of unique items, and you can do your holiday shopping and benefit independent nonprofit journalism at the same time.
You’ll also be able to chat up civic leaders and journalists including Briana Bierschbach, Pamela Espeland, Andy Sturdevant, Doug Grow, Ron Meador, Joe Kimball, Beth Hawkins, Jim Walsh, Susan Perry, Ibrahim Hirsi, Eric Black, Cyndy Brucato, Andy Putz, Peter Callaghan, Andy Steiner and more.
This year’s “Lucky 7” Raffle Prize is a basket of $100 gift cards for each of seven fine eateries: La Belle Vie, Lucia’s, Masu Sushi & Robata, Sassy Spoon, Smack Shack, Solera, and W.A. Frost. Raffle tickets are $10 each or three for $20, available by cash or check, in advance or the night of the party. The winning ticket will be drawn shortly after 7:30 p.m. and you do not have to be present to win. You do have to be 18 or older to purchase a ticket.
