MPR’s Ellie Roth reports the Minnesota DFL has disavowed a local endorsement of District 12 candidate Judd Hoff. “In August of 2020, Hoff assaulted a person with a machete after a confrontation. According to court documents, Hoff argued that he was using self-defense.”

Stephen Swanson with WCCO reports a man is now hospitalized after a being shot outside a Dollar General by a Wright County deputy Monday. The man was armed and the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.

KTTC reports Rochester Public Schools and the NAACP are condemning the use of a racial slur on a bridge near Central High School. “A picture has been shared around Rochester of an evil racist term that was made with red cups stuck into the fence across the freeway near Century HS early this morning. Thankfully, the word was taken down quickly, but the fact that it was there shows how much work we have to do,” said superintendent Kent Pekel.
