#1 Mischke: You are being surprisingly naive. Your newspaper has already been affected — you don’t realize it yet. Do you know how many state employees live in your circulation area? Do you know how many business owners (like me) whose businesses have been affected by the shutdown live in your area ? I’m spending less money on Grand Avenue and in Highland Park this month because I don’t know if I’ll be able to draw a paycheck. The businesses I’m not patronizing are your advertisers, and that should be of concern to you.
