The Proctor, Minn., Police Department sold a motorized lounge chair on eBay after it was confiscated from a man charged with driving the chair drunk at nearly four times the legal limit and crashing into a parked vehicle.

The chair received bids of more than $40,000 on eBay, before the auction was shut down early because the chair was improperly labeled with the La-Z-Boy brand name. The Proctor Police Department reposted the item as the “DWI chair,” which then sold for $10,099.99.

In a related video, “The Tonight Show” with Conan O’Brien had an accident of its own during rehearsal with a motorized item. After hearing about the motorized lounge chair, the show decided to make its own motorized podium for announcer Andy Richter to ride around the studio. He does not appear to be drunk at the time of the accident.
