According to the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association, Minnesota is No. 1 one in the country for turkey producing and processing. 250 family farmers raise approximately 49 million turkeys annually. This year you might just have a turkey on your table from one of the two farms showcased below.

Minnesota farmer Kent Meschke started raising turkeys in 1968. Today, his farm in Little Falls raises about 500,000 turkeys per year. Meschke shows off the inner workings of his turkey operation.

The Halvorson turkey farm in Morristown raises around 10,800 turkeys every six weeks or about 93,600 birds annually. Owner Kim Halvorson shows how the turkeys on her farm are cared for.
