Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign announced the make-up of its seven-person South Carolina staff on Wednesday.

The team consists of South Carolina political veterans, including its senior adviser, Ron Thomas, the former political director of the South Carolina GOP, its manager, Sheri Few, the founder of SC Parents in Education, and staffers and volunteers who worked for various Republicans before the 2010 gubernatorial election.

Two of her staffers are college students: Gavin Smith, an assistant to Few, and Taylor Mason, the coordinator in the Low County area.

Bachmann has been focused almost entirely on Iowa since winning the Ames straw poll in August. A strong showing in South Carolina, though, is vital to her presidential campaign. She’s visited the state 16 times since June, but not once in the last 30 days, according to the Washington Post.
