Lizz Winstead, who was co-creator and head writer of “The Daily Show,” will lead a March 19 workshop on writing political satire.
She’s a Minnesota native, so she must be nice.
The workshop will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 19 at Downstairs at Java Jacks, 818 W. 46th St., Minneapolis.
The announcement promises:
Lizz will share her techniques, leading you through the thought process of how she crafts timely material and offers her skills on how to craft an effective joke that best responds to current events not only hilariously, but with relevance. You will also have the opportunity to write with Lizz, experiencing the rare chance to have her as your “Head writer” for the day as you craft material during the workshop.
