The board of MNsure, the state’s health care exchange, is looking for applicants to join two advisory boards that will offer guidance to the board on areas of the health insurance industry.

Applications are being accepted for the Health Industry Advisory Committee and the Consumer and Small Employer Advisory Committee. 

Advisory committee members will serve two-year terms. The Health Industry committee members won’t be paid; the Consumer/Small Employer committee members will received $55 per day plus expenses. The committees will meet at least quarterly. Members will be selected to represent geographic, racial, ethnic and socioeconomic diversity.

Descriptions of the committees are:

  • The Consumer and Small Employer Advisory Committee will consist of no more than 17 members and can include, but is not limited to, individuals and employers that may purchase health plans through MNsure, individuals who may enroll in a public program, or organizations that may help facilitate enrollment through MNsure. 
  • The Health Industry Advisory Committee will consist of no more than 17 members and can include, but is not limited to, insurance agents and brokers, health insurers, hospitals, clinics, and doctors, and other health care industry experts.

Applications are due by 3 p.m. Aug. 15.
