Schriock, a MSU-Mankato grad, managed Sen. Al Franken’s 2008 campaign and now heads the national organization that helps pro-choice Democratic women win election to political office.

She’ll speak at the university’s 19th Annual Truman and Reta Wood Scholarship Dinner in the student union. It’s open to the public and tickets are $60. Online registration is available.

Schriock received a bachelor’s degree from Mankato in 1995, with a major in political science/public administration, and then did her master’s work at George Washington University. Her bio says that in 2007, Washingtonian magazine named her one of “Forty Under Forty: Young Washingtonians to Watch.”
