President Bill Clinton will come to Minnesota Oct. 10 to lead a campaign rally for Gov. Mark Dayton and Sen. Al Franken.
It will be at the University of Minnesota’s Northrop Auditorium. Doors open at 1 p.m.
Admission is free, first-come, first served. RSVPs can be made online but don’t guarantee entry.
Announcing the appearance, DFL Chair Ken Martin said:
“We are thrilled to have President Clinton back in Minnesota to support Gov. Dayton and Sen. Franken. Minnesotans are committed to build on the progress we’ve made over the last few years and are excited to get out and vote by absentee, early vote or in-person on Election Day.”
Four years ago, President Obama came to Minnesota to campaign for Dayton, but the president’s popularity has faded in the state and he isn’t likely to make a return this cycle.
Clinton was at the U of M two years ago campaigning for President Obama’s reelection.
