Americans for Prosperity Minnesota has named Jason Flohrs its new state director.

The national conservative group, which promotes free markets and was founded by the Koch Brothers, has recently been working locally against solar mandates and the Affordable Care Act.

The group says Flohrs, a native of Ormsby, Minnesota,”has spent his career working to advance the cause of liberty and promote economic freedom across the nation. Jason comes to the chapter after having managed state, federal, and congressional campaigns in Minnesota and throughout the Midwest.”

Said Flohrs in a statement:

We’ll fight to stop the gas tax hike, reduce burdensome regulations, pass Sunday alcohol sales and spread freedom to every corner of the state. Minnesota has a real opportunity to become a leader in economic prosperity and, together, we’ll work to achieve it.

Tim Phillips, president of the group, which is based in Arlington, Va., said of Flohrs:

Jason is the leader Minnesota needs. He’s spent his life fighting relentlessly to spread a culture of freedom thoughout the state. With his skills and experience, I have no doubt that the Minnesota Chapter of Americans for Prosperity will become one of our strongest.

  1. What are they for?

On the MN Americans for Prosperity web site, all I see are things they are against. Too bad they couldn’t be for anything other than higher CEO payouts.

    1. Obviously the group is NOT for prosperity

Of our crumbling infrastructure, especially the repairing and maintaining roads, bridges and transit.
