Flags are at half-mast in Minnesota and around the country in honor of the victims of the terror attacks Friday in Paris.

A proclamation by President Obama [PDF] calls for the U.S. flag to be lowered throughout the nation until sunset Thursday.

Gov. Mark Dayton said Minnesota flags, too, will be lowered.

In a statement, the governor said: “On Friday, November 13, 2015, terrible acts of violence were committed against innocent people in Paris, France, and the victims and their families deserve our honor, respect, and remembrance.”
