Local entertainer and Lavender Magazine contributor Wanda Wisdom
will be discussing the history and communities of transgender culture and demonstrating her transformation into “drag” with the help of her professional makeup artist and fellow drag entertainer, Robb Grier.

A brief bio of Wanda Wisdom, from Lavender Magazine:
Minneapolis drag queen entertainer Wanda Wisdom is the larger-than-life personality and hostess of Lavender Magazine’s “Lucky Bitch Radio” podcast, one of the oldest and most respected queer podcasts.

She’s been covered in OUT and Genre magazines and featured on SIRIUS Satellite Radio’s “Podshow” and Detroit WKRK’s “Motor City Middays.”

With little more than a microphone and an honest voice, this rising Midwestern starlet — whom Paul Graham of the BBC called “captivating!” — has grown a worldwide audience in the thousands.
